Powers & History: Zeitgiest had the unfortunate luck to manifest his mutation during an adolescent kiss. He threw up all over his would-be lover, but this vomit was acidic and corrosive and burned her severely. Axel was thirteen. His doings until becoming the first leader of the new X-Force are still unknown, but it seems that he was fitted with a collar and face mask that somehow protected him from his destructive power. As head of X-Force, Zeitgeist (under Coach's guiding hand) quickly established the team as a special ops powerhouse and as media darlings. He had a short fling with U-Go Girl, but preferred supermodels, usually more than one at a time. He spent much of his time watching Doop's videos of the team, both to help correct weaknesses and to stoke his fires (ahem).

Unfortunately, beneath his literal "golden boy" facade, Zeitgeist was not really a nice person. He was biased against many of his own teammates, including Sluk and the Anarchist. Worse, it was recently revealed that Axel was in on Coach's diabolical plan to kill off most of the original team in the Boys R Us massacre. Ironically, Zeitgeist himself was killed in the attack, while intended victim U-Go Girl survived. The others weren't so lucky, however. As of now, only Doop and Orphan know about Zeitgeist's role in his teammates' deaths.
