Powers: Originally the High Priestess of Garrok, Zaladane was a sorceress of considerable power. She claimed to be Polaris' sister, although no proof for that connection has ever been found. After an unsuccesful bid to take over the Savage Land, Zaladane resurfaced as a servant of the High Evolutionary. When he departed, Zaladane, with the help of the Mutate Worm, enslaved many of the land's natives and abducted her "sister" Polaris. With the help of some ancient technology (and maybe some magic), Zaladane stole Polaris' magnetic powers. Using them she all but took over the Savage Land, and tried to take control of the Earth's magnetic field, but was stopped by Rogue, Ka-Zar, Nick Fury, and Magneto, who killed her after being tortured at her hands.
