X-Man #2
Synopsis by Jeff Harris:Elsewhere in America, a Russian mutant with ties to the black market and the mutant underground named Rossovich is in a fierce duel with Apocalypse's most dangerous assassin, Domino. Grizzly jumps in and scratches Rossovich, but he quickly gets him out of the way before returning his attention to Domino, but it's too late as she stabs him. The third hunter Caliban comes out of hiding, and Domino is frustrated at their failures in finding the telepathic mutant they've been searching for, and they continue on their way. Meanwhile, Nate trains with Forge, but receives quite a beating by him, and Nate responds with a TK blast, proving his mentor's point for him: he is overconfident and relies too much on his power alone. Nate storms off with Theresa and has a discussion with Essex about his abilities and how the man strangely seems to know a lot about him, even teaching him how to use his telekinesis to fly, which causes him to hemorrhage from the nose and gives him a major headache. Later that night at the camp, Nate tells the rest of the group about a factory of horrors that he thinks they should attempt to destroy, and despite his initial misgivings, Forge agrees to a recon mission. When they get there, they discover thousands of skeletons of slaughtered humans being hused to create a supplement for the Alpha Class Mutant. Enraged by this, Nate rashly, attacks some Infinites, and barely escapes the wrath of the Madri, one of which runs off to inform Apocalypse. The team escapes virtually intact, and then go to rest in an abandoned farmhouse. Nate skips out on the group but runs into Theresa who demands she take him with her on another psychic flight. He returns to the Xavier Institute, where he is somehow detected by Charles and threatened by Magneto, but Theresa breaks the psi-link. The two head off to who knows where, while Brute goes into the stable to confront Essex, who he claims experimented on him while he was in Apocalypse's pens. He kills him off, and gets the body hidden before Forge comes in as well, shortly followed by Domino and the hunters.
