Possibly the most powerful mutant alive, Nate Grey was created to be the ultimate weapon in Sinister's betrayal of his master in the alternate reality now known as the "Age of Apocalypse." Although he escaped the pens and was taken in by Forge and his band, Nate couldn't escape his destiny and fought Apocalypse and his "son" Holocaust to a standstill in the final battle. When that world destroyed itself, Nate was transported to our reality via the M'kraan Crystal. Unfortunately, his terrible experiences on the world of his birth made him distrustful of everyone, especially the X-Men. In time, however, he began to appreciate their friendship, and worked with them on a few ocassions. Later, his mind was opened to the wonders of the multiverse, and Nate saw himself as a mutant shaman, protecting his people and his planet from those who would harm them. In that role, Nate made the ultimate sacrifice to keep an alien harvester from using all organic life on Earth as food for his race. This is his story.
