Alex knocks him down. Rahne, herself a mutate (see New Mutants 96), talks to the others. Alex offers to escort the X-Patriots around New York, and forces Val to let him without legal papers. Chalker, to avenge his brother Vic's death (iss. 77) has made himself Number One Fan. With razor-sharp fan blades for hands, he is unable to open the door, and when he angrily slaps his forehead, it isn't pretty. X-Factor split up, taking various Genoshans to the playground, a bar, the Statue of Liberty, a disco, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. At the museum, Taylor starts a cold fire sculpture, is identified as a mutant, and beaten by some locals wielding a baseball bat. Rahne weeps over him while Jamie gets an ambulance.
