Real Name: Myles AlfredLater, Vivisector and his teammate Phat were approached by X-Force's backer and told that they were viewed as the "other guys" by the public, and were not sharing in the fame accorded to the Anarchist, U-Go Girl and the Orphan. The two started trying to get more of the spotlight, showing up drunk to Edie's TV debut and acting loud and rowdy. Then they started hanging more and more together, until they announced to the team that they have "special feelings" for each other. Though it seemed this was just another ploy to garner attention, in the end, Vivisector and Phat came out of the closet, but after a short period, realized that they didn't want each other.
Vivisector later mooned over new recruit El Guapo, even going so far as to dress like him, but he failed to attract any attention. After Phat's death, Vivisector began dating a B-level actor, who like Myles's wolf aspect a lot, as it brought them celebrity. Myles was then approached by a Dr. Alex Finlay, a former researcher for Xavier, who offered him a cure for his mutation. Myles agreed to the cure and lost his powers. He was then expelled from X-Statix, as he was no longer a mutant. Unbeknownst to him, Finlay injected himself with Vivisector's genes and became a new Vivisector. Unfortunately, Finlay's power trigger was Myles's own anger at his father, and Finlay became convinced that he was Myles.
Meanwhile, Myles returned home for his father's birthday party, just in time for Finlay to attack. Finlay voiced all of Myles's anger before Myles killed him for attacking his father, and then Myles finally admitted to his father that it was all true. He also regained his powers thanks to a scratch from Finlay. In addition, by purging himself of his hatred, Myles is now able to transform by thinking of good things, instead of anger.
