*Note: Marvel's original Viper was actually the first leader of the Serpent Society, whom Viper II killed. However, since Viper II has the only real impact in the X-Realm, she will be called simply Viper.
Real Name: UnknownShortly thereafter, Viper was taken prisoner by Arnim Zola, the Bio-Fanatic, whose plans were never revealed. Months later, she reappeared to host the Bloodsport tournament in Madripoor, in which Wolverine fought against the Champ, Mr. X. After Ogun revealed his presence and attempted to possess Wolverine, he was forced to possess Viper instead. Logan mortally wounded Viper, causing Ogun to leave her body. Then, in return for getting her medical treatment, Logan made Viper agree to divorce him.
Shortly thereafter, Viper helped organize a resistance when an alien invasion made its beachhead in Madripoor. She was a trifle trigger-happy, and ran afoul of the (X-Treme) X-Men, who tried to not enrage the aliens with wholesale slaughter. Though ostensibly on the same side, Viper still betrayed Storm and slashed her back open when no one was looking.
Viper then showed up to take her revenge on Storm’s team by capturing the X-Men and putting them through the London Murderworld. She took out most of the team and then shot Sage in the head before teleporting out (Sage was actually Wolverine in disguise so the bullet did nothing). Viper escaped, then joined up in Hong Kong with Courtney Ross (II), the new White Queen of the Hellfire Club, as her White Warrior Princess. In that capacity, Viper is Ross's executive arm, and recently contracted the Weaponeers to attack the President of Zanzibar and capture Archangel.
Following the failure of the Zanzibar attack (as well as M-Day?), Viper made a bid to have the Silver Samurai re-take control of the Japanese underworld. Harada was reluctant, and stalled, leaving (unknowingly) enough time for the Avengers to attack the HYDRA agents Viper traveled with. Viper was captured, but forced Spider-Woman to release her, as HYDRA had restored Jessica's powers and she was supposed to work for them (though in reality she is a deep-cover double/triple agent for Nick Fury). Viper was "allowed" to fly out of the Avengers Quinjet while over the ocean, and it's presumed she survived.
