Powers: The Vanisher is an interdimensional teleporter who used his power to become a thief, popping in and out of his targets. He was one of the first foes faced by the fledgling X-Men, and was only brought down by the telepathic might of Professor X. Later on, he joined the organization called Factor Three, but left after its leader was revealed to be an alien invader. Then the Vanisher disappeared, but not before training Tabitha Smith (AKA Meltdown) and some other teens (the Fallen Angels) to be his assistants. Apparently, the Vanisher once decided to stop in the dimension through which he teleported, and got caught by some cat-like entities who wouldn't let him go until he told them a story. As a result, he never returned to Earth, and it was only because Sledge sent Warpath to find him that the Vanisher got out of that dimension. Very silly. Afterwards, Vanisher tried to steal the Heart of Pele, a Hawaiian gem that was linked to the goddess of the volcanoes. He was caught by X-Force and the Lava Men, and was forced to return the stone.
