Summary by CharleyX: At the "One World" Peace Concert in Central Park, where Lila Cheney's band plays the crowd, Professor Charles Xavier, the world's foremost expert on mutants, is scheduled to speak. A few X-Men, namely Storm, Bishop, Gambit, Rogue and Archangel are among the masses, providing discreet security and enjoying the day. Meanwhile, behind the stage, a shadowed figure listens and waits. He is found, by a couple, who die horribly in front of him. Back in Salem Center, Scott waits for Jean at Harry's Hideaway, but catches himself thinking about Psylocke, whose recent advances have caught him off guard. Nearby, Bobby and Colossus are shopping for food. At the Grand Hyatt in Manhattan, some of the members of X-Factor settle down to watch the concert on TV. Jean arrives at Harry's and confronts Scott, who assures her that he loves only her. Unfortunately, their intimacy is broken by Caliban, now augmented with super-strength and called Death, the most powerful Horseman of Apocalypse. Iceman and Colossus hear the commotion and come to help, but are themselves attacked by War and Famine. In the park, the Professor gets up to speak, to a very mixed reaction. His words are just beginning to sink in when a shot rings out and hits him in the head. The gunman (the same man from behind the stage) reveals himself and says: "The name is Cable, but the world will know me as - the man who saved tomorrow. At Harry's, Caliban literally brings the house down, knocking Scott and Jean out, while Colossus pounds on War and Famine, who teleport away at their "master's" call. In New Mexico, the now-outlaw X-Force team rigs a TV just in time to see their erstwhile leader shoot Xavier.
