Part 7 of "X-Tinction Agenda" The trial of the mutants begins, and is broadcast around the world. They are faced with either death or submission to the mutate process. Both Wolverine and Cable make unsuccessful attempts to break free, and although they manage to take out a few guards, they are ultimately subdued, Wolverine by the mutate Storm, and Cable by Hodge, who uses Psylocke as a shield. Psylocke, following the plan, submits to the mutate process. Hodge doubts her motives, but Havok takes Betsy away, incurring Hodge's wrath. Hodge then decides to force Wolverine and Archangel to fight each other to the death. Dr. Moreau confers with Chief Magistrate Anderson about a secret plan, and is observed by Jubilee, Rictor, and Boom Boom, who follow him. Meanwhile, Hodge poses as Moreau and calls Wipeout to him. Psylocke escapes the guards and goes into the vent system. Hodge breaks into Moreau's lab with Rahne at his side and uncovers Moreau's plan to get rid of him. Wipeout arrives, and Hodge kills him, seemingly guaranteeing that the mutants will never get their powers back. Havok shows up, and using Rahne's testimony, Hodge has him framed for Wipeout's murder. Back in Hodge's containment area, Gambit picks his lock with his feet, and then frees his teammmates. Anderson and Storm confront Hodge, as Psylocke busts through a vent duct with a really big gun. Anderson tells her that she can restore their powers, if she'll trust her. Psylocke manages to slow Hodge down and get Anderson and Storm away. Back in the containment room, Scott and Jean are trying to keep the mind-controled Logan and Warren from killing each other, when Anderson comes in and sends Storm after Cyclops. Electrical energy couscates from Storm and zaps Scott, but he is unhurt, and amazingly, Storm returns to adulthood. Cyclops eyes begin to glow red, and his power returns just in time to blast Hodge through the wall. Anderson give Cyclops a visor, but Hodge isn't done yet.
