A group of cyborg bandits, the Reavers were originally led by Bonebreaker, and specialized in brutal robberies,
using the mutant teleporter Gateway to transport them to their objectives. After
the X-Men defeated them, captured their town in
the Austrailian Outback, and sent the majority of their number through the Siege
Perilous, the remaining Reavers were rebuilt by Donald
Pierce, who used them as his own personal assault force. They were joined
by Lady Deathstrike and her followers, Cole, Macon,
and Reese, former Hellfire Club mercenaries who
had all been seriously wounded by Wolverine,
one of their first targets as Reavers. The Reavers also attacked Muir
Island, and were responsible for the deaths of Stonewall,
Sunder, and a few of the surviving Morlocks.
Later, the Reavers were attacked by Fitzroy's
Sentinels, and Bonebreaker, Pretty Boy, and the Hellfire boys haven't been seen
since, although Skully has been rebuilt.

Recently, Pierce, Pretty Boy and Bonebreaker, along with a new female Skullbuster were used by the Shadow King to attack the (X-Treme) X-Men in Australia. Following that defeat, Pierce tried recruiting a new batch of Reavers from New York City anti-mutant teens. The Reavers kidnapped the millionaire father of New Mutant Sofia Mantega, and the New Mutants came to rescue him, dispersing this very unprofessional band of "Reavers."
