Freedom Force
Freedom Force was founded with the remnants of the second Brotherhood of Evil Mutants as a government-sponsored super-team. Its members were all convicted super-criminals who were using their service to the government as a means of gaining an early parole. Freedom Force hunted down other mutant criminals and sometimes accepted them into their ranks, but most often turned their captives over to the authorities. Eventually the program failed, due to its inability to change its members' evil inclinations and mostly due to their failure in Operation: Desert Storm.
