Codename Etymology: tăr'ō [French, from Italian tarocco, tarocchi (plural). Origin Unknown, possibly from Arabic taraha "reject"]; The deck first used in 14th-century Italy, as playing cards as well as for fortune-telling. The tarots, strictly speaking, are the 22 figured cards added to the 56-card suits pack.
Powers & History: Tarot's power allowed her to take one of the tarot cards that were her namesake and give the picture on its face a physical form, which she could then control. She was also a fairly accurate precog, and although she couldn't prevent her team's demise at the hands of Fitzroy's Sentinels, she somehow managed to survive, possibly because of her precog ability. Exactly how she survived is still unknown. She joined the New Hellions, led by Chris Aaronson, a former boyfriend, although her motives were unclear, and she ultimately aided X-Force in foiling her group's plans, because she did not want people to die. Tarot has gained the ability to manifest the attibutes of her tarot card characters on herself, making her persoanlly much deadlier. It has been intimated that she will die and be resurrected until she has atoned for her past misdeeds.
