Codename Etymology: Pronounced slăb [From Middle English]; A flat piece of stone.
Powers & History: Slab has the ability to grow to enormous size and proportionate strength. The similarity to his sister Thumbelina's power (not to mention their similar given names) would seem to indicate that they are twins. In addition to his power, Slab has an incredibly massive jaw and squinty eyes, with little hair on his head, making him look kind of deformed. Whether this is part of his mutation is unknown.

Slab was recruited by Mr. Sinister to be part of his "Nasty Boys" and was the first team member to attack their nemesis, the government sponsored X-Factor team. Slab climbed to the top of the Washington Monument and called Strong Guy out to fight him. When X-Factor arrived, Slab duked it out with Strong Guy, but then shrunk down to normal size to duck a punch, causing Guido to shatter and destroy the monument.

Slab was captured along with his teammate Hairbag and taken to a holding cell by X-Factor. While he waited for his lawyer to negotiate bail, Slab (and Hairbag) were broken out of prison by the Mutant Liberation Front (of which Slab's sister Thumbelina was a member) and returned to the Nasty Boys shortly afterwards. Slab has not been seen since the group's subsequent breakup.
