Powers & History: Scribe's powers are a bit uncertain, since in her only appearances she was possessed by Mountjoy. She may have been able to mentally record the proceedings of the Hellfire Club onto some device that she kept with her. It certainly appears that her true "power" was to turn intangible. She insinuated herself into Brian Braddock's room when he infiltrated the Club, and as London was attacked by a demon released by the Club and Black Air, she attacked. Well, actually Mountjoy attacked. Anyway, Captain Britain put her/him down and they wnet to jail. It seems that Mountjoy found a better symbiosis with her than with anyone previously, since his riding her didn't kill her. Later, Scribe was balied out of jail by Sebastian Shaw and appeared in New York to fight Madelyne Pryor for the right to be the new Black Rook of the New York branch. She manifested her intangibility then, but Maddie saw through her ruse and physically pulled Mountjoy out of her, effectively ending the fight. Scribe hasn't been seen since. Scribe was also an albino, which in itself is a type of mutation, albeit a more common one.
