Codename Etymology: Pronounced sä'brə [From Hebrew tsabar "prickly pear"]; A Native Israeli.
Powers & History: Super-strength and -speed, endurance, and flight, thanks to a special cape. Sabra also has wrist launchers which fire paralyzing blasts. She is a highly-placed agent in the Mossad, and has access to a tremendous amount of sensitive information. Sabra had for years remained aloof and apart from the American mutants, but during Operation: Zero Tolerance she traveled to the States and ended up helping Iceman and Cecilia Reyes escape from the Prime Sentinels. Sabra also brought Excalibur to Israel to help deal with the psychic echoes of Legion's multiple personalities, and was the one who informed Joseph that he was NOT Magneto. She remains a loyal member of Xavier's Mutant Underground, a fact which at times requires her to conceal some of her actions from her superiors at the Mossad.
Much later, Sabra was seen at Darkstar's funeral in Europe, and then again in Genosha, where she helped to save Polaris. Then, Sabra was recruited by Bishop into a mutant team created to track down and apprehend mutants who refused to register with the United States Superhuman Registration Act. Sabra may not personally agree with the SHRA, but her participation earned Israel some much-needed financial and technical support in their own dealings with local superhumans, which, as she noted, could not be allowed to destabilize the Middle East any further.
