Real Name: Rachel Argosy
Rachel Argosy's powers manifested around age 20 (which is late for a mutant) due to a childhood bout of meningitis. At the time of manifestation, she was already an accomplished music teacher in a suburban town. When her skin turned blue and she exhibited her mental control, the town's school board had a hearing to fire her. X-Factor was called in when the board's chairman, Harry Sharp was found dead in his house and Rhapsody was seen leaving the area. Madrox and Quicksilver (then with the government version of X-Factor) were called in to investigate. When they arrived, Rhapsody was levitating herself above the town while playing a violin, but Quicksilver brought her down. After experiencing one of Rhapsody's hallucinations, Jamie quickly became convinced that the charges were trumped up. Quicksilver was more skeptical, and was proved correct when Rhapsody nearly prison after an uninformed guard played the harmonica near her and was throttled by the aforementioned musical notes. Rhapsody was revealed to be guilty and slightly insane when she tried seducing Madrox with her powers and effectively admitted causing the death of Mr. Sharp. She had gone to his house to make him change his mind by using her powers to give him a rapturous experience, but it overloaded his frail heart. Madrox returned her to the prison and it's assumed she remains there.
