Reaper
Real Name: Pantu Hurageb
Affiliation: Weapon X
Previous Affiliations: Exiles (Ultraverse), Mutant
Liberation Front (M.L.F)
Status: Comatose, possibly brain-dead
Alternate-X Versions: None
Codename Etymology: Pronounced rē'pər [Middle English repen "to cut from the ground"]; One who reaps. Often associated with death, as in "Grim Reaper," a personification of death.
Powers & History: Secretion of a paralyzing neuro-toxin. Reaper began his career wielding two scythes through which he emitted his toxin. When he lost his hand to Shatterstar, it was replaced with a short scythe. Later on, he lost his lower leg when Zero closed a portal on it. This too, was replaced with bionics. Somehow, Reaper was transported to the Ultraverse, where he joined the ill-fated Exiles, who were all apparently killed in battle with Maxis. Later, Reaper and his
teammates were mysteriously resurrected, and fought alongside Maxis against aliens. Finally, when the Black Knight, an Avenger from our world who fought in the Ultraverse, asked Maxis to
send him home, Reaper (and Siena Blaze) joined him.
Reaper did not reappear for many months, and when he did, it was as an inmate in the Director's "Neverland" facility. Reaper and former MLF colleague Wildside volunteered to join Weapon X in order to get out of Neverland. Reaper was given a sever haircut, but more importantly, was "upgraded" with what appear to be cybernetic arms that morph into giant scythe blades and back into hands. They were sent on missions to fake violent protests against Neverland and came into conflict with Cable and his Underground.
Reaper tried to hold Domino hostage, but was shot in the shoulder by Maverick. Then Cable tried to telepathically dig Neverland's location and details out of Reaper's and Wildside's heads, but they were too strongly conditioned against telling and he fried their minds.
