Codename Etymology: Pronounced răn'dəm [From Old French randir "to run"]; Occurring without a pattern.
Powers & History: Random first appeared as a bounty hunter with the power to adapt his body to counteract any mutant power, and to fire projectiles from his gun-morphed forearms. He was hired by X-Factor to assist in a few missions, and developed a friendship with / crush on Polaris. Later, it became apparent that Random was an agent of the Dark Beast, who used him to capture Havok. Random's true nature was also revealed, that of a young man with little control over his body's gelatinous properties who had received aid from McCoy, for which the Doctor was now demanding payment in the form of service. Random was thought to have a mother who constantly micro-managed him, but after Dark Beast "reactivated" him, he absorbed the woman back into his body. This duplication or self-generation was never used again, and may have been part of Dark Beast's programming.
Random was next seen as an inmate at the Weapon X concentration camp codenamed Neverland. What happened to him is unknown, but it is possible he sold his services to Weapon X to save his life.
Recent Activities: After M-Day, Random became one of Exodus's Acolytes along with Frenzy and Tempo. They stormed the Helicarrier while the X-Men were there to create a super-Cerebro from Cable's future memories to see where all the mutants had gone. Random fought the X-Men apologetically, and stood down when he found out that the mission was moot as the X-gene had been removed from humanity. He left with Exodus and his whereabouts are unknown.
