Real Name: Maxwell JordanMaxwell Jordan was one of the first students to attend the Xavier Institute when it went public and was placed on Cyclops’ Corsairs Squad. Max was an average student whose optimistic and fun demeanor earned him the title of class clown. In an attempt to raise his grades, Quill and some other students attempted to steal the answers to a computer test. They were caught by Shadowcat, who gave them over to Gambit for punishment. While Shadowcat hoped Quill could learn from Gambit’s reformed ways, Gambit had other intentions. Ironically, he taught Quill various thieving techniques and had him steal a surveillance tape that Gambit wanted to keep secret.

| Quill was a SHIELD agent in training and part of Moonstar’s Hellions squad. He kept his fun demeanor to his friends but didn’t care about anybody else, especially ordinary humans. After discovering the truth behind project Genesis and Laurie’s betrayal, Quill was badly injured by a mind-controlled Dust. Quill would have been killed by a grenade blast if Synch hadn’t sacrificed himself. Unfortunately Quill apparently died soon after at the hands of Sunfire’s guards. |
Quill remained powered after M-Day much to the dismay of his parents and stayed at the mansion. When Emma Frost had all remaining students fight for a spot on the New X-Men, Quill was defeated by X-23. While not part of the New X-Men, Quill remained at the Mansion until Stryker’s assault. During the assault Quill was ambushed by one of Stryker’s soldiers and shot.
