Codename Etymology: Pronounced prĭz'əm [From Greek prīsma, from Greek prisma, "something sawed," from prizein "to saw."]; A triangular piece of glass used to separate white light into the colors of the light spectrum (sic).
Powers & History: Prizm appears to actually be made out of crystal, which allows him to channel and amplify all sorts of energy, but mainly light. A late addition to the Marauders, he did not participate in the Mutant Massacre. He was once shattered by Havok, but Sinister can apparently clone him as well. Interestingly, Magneto (in his Erik the Red guise) mentioned Prizm as one of the massacred Morlocks, so it is possible that the original was killed or captured by Sinister and maintained as clones.

At some point Prizm (unknown whether the original or the clone) was captured and placed in Ravencroft, an insane asylum for mutants and other superhumans. Following M-Day, Prizm was one of the few mutants to retain powers, and he used his abilities to exact revenge on the ex-mutant inmates who had mistreated him before. Reporter Sally Floyd actually witness him kill one of his ex-mutant former tormentors.
