Post

Real Name: Kevin Tremain
Affiliation: None
Previous Affiliations: Brotherhood of Mutants, Onslaught
Codename Etymology: Pronounced pōst [Latin postis "post," perhaps from por- "forth" + stare "to stand"]; A piece of upright wood used as a support.
Powers & History: Uncertain. Post has blue skin, and is very large and strong and has a supernatural talent for mathematical analysis. Years ago, he was betrayed by the governemt agency for which he worked, and was captured by the Mandarin. The Mandarin hoped to use Tremain as the template for an army of mutants. He was critically injured, but Cable saved him, dragging the injured agent to safety across miles of hostile terrain. Cable then broguht Tremain to meet with Professor X, but Tremain never became one of his students. He may even have faked his own death at some point. When he was next seen, Tremain called himself the "Herald of Onslaught" and was outfitted with advanced sensor plates, weapons and body armor that responded to his mental commands. His sensors, some of which hovered around him, apparently recorded and transmitted all of the battle data. He also had a cloaking device. Post faced Cyclops, Iceman, Storm, and Wolverine in a "test" that was to determine if the X-Men were worthy of the coming Onslaught. The four heroes beat Post, but only barely. Post also tracked Cable and Domino to the Camp Hayden Sentinel base, where he tried to kill them but failed. Lastly, Post, along with fellow Onslaught thrall Holocaust, was defeated by the Avengers. He was not seen again until he appeared as part of the new Brotherhood of Mutants, which apparently released Professor X from Bastion's Hulkbuster base, and looked to him as their leader. After Xavier returned to the X-Men, however, Post and the Brotherhood were recruited by Mystique to capture Machine Man. Post was severely injured and then arrested in that battle, but he escaped to the Alley, where he set up residence. From there he called to Cable, who found his erstwhile friend almost mad and very confused. After a shouting match, Cable offered Post a second chance. The sincere generosity touched the good man who was once Kevin Tremain, and he accepted Cable's challenge, although he said he would have to find his was on his own. Unfortunately, Post appears to have rejoined his comrades in the Brotherhood, looking for wealth and power.
