Alternate-X Versions (Age of Apocalypse)
Codename Etymology: Pronounced pîrs, dôn'ôld [From Anglo-French perser, Old French percier, probably from Vulgar Latin pertusiare, frequentative of Latin pertusus, past participle of pertundere "to thrust or bore through," from per- "through" + tundere "to beat, pound," Gaelic name Domhnall "ruler of the world" from from Proto-Celtic Dubno-valos "world-mighty."];
Powers & History: None (cyborg). A number of years ago, Pierce was gravely injured (apparently in an incident involving Cable) and used cybernetic parts to make himself whole again. As a result, he has phenomenal strength, heightened sensory abilities, and the ability to send electrical charges through his arms, among other things. Though once expelled from the Hellfire Club due to his constant power plays against Sebastian Shaw, Pierce was allowed to vie for his position again during the Club's attempt to wake the Herald of Apocalypse in the Swiss Alps. Due to Cable's intervention, Pierce was badly damaged and apparently lost his rank forever. He found a snowmobile and got himself to one of Cable's safehouses, which he co-opted and uses to rebuild himself. He created a body out of adamantium, among other things, for himself. His arms have morphing capabilities, and his left eye is completely bionic, with external circuitry. He fought with Wolverine, who had been transported there by Gateway, but was then severely beaten by the mysterious Khyber, who absconded with Pierce after knocking him unconscious.

Somehow, Pierce escaped from or was released by Khyber, apparently without the advantages of his improved body. He and his Reavers were telepathically controlled by the Shadow King and forced to attack the (X-Treme) X-Men team in Australia. Upon their defeat and the King's incarceration in Rogue's mind, Pierce began to recruit a new crop of Reavers from pro-human teens, and without forcing cybernetics upon them. After hearing of the human extinction gene, he saw news of Sofia Mantega's public power outburst in her famous father's store, he realized that the best way to attack mutants is through their families, and kidnapped Sofia's father to lure her to him.

Pierce was opposed by Sofia's classmates, and nearly killed Laurie before he was attacked by Kevin Ford, whose touch withers organics. Pierce was nearly killed, but Kevin was stopped and Pierce was taken to a hospital. The police arrested him when he woke up and transported him to the maximum security facility known as the Cage. Pierce's organic parts were nearly destroyed, and he looked almost completely robotic at this point. While in the Cage, Pierce's nephew, an FBI agent, offered him the opportunity to testify about Kevin's powers, and Pierce used the van trip to escape from custody. His former "Reaver" groupie Duncan helped renew his organics, and Pierce attacked the Institute in pursuit of Kevin. Kevin had already left the school, and Pierce was put down by the New Mutants and the faculty.

Somehow, though, Pierce didn't remain incarcerated long (if he ever got there), and shortly afterwards attacked Sebastian Shaw in Paris, where Shaw was trying to re-vitalize the Hellfire Club and assume the role of Lord Imperial. Pierce, angling to become Lord Imperial himself, worked with mercenaries using advanced hardware to deal with Shaw, Sage, Sunspot and the X-Men, but to no avail, as after being beaten and blasted, Shaw used his increased strength to literally knock Pierce's head off.
