Codename Etymology: Pronounced năn'ē [Baby talk origin]; One who is employeed to care for a child.
Powers & History: Nanny II was a a low-level telepath and scientist working for The Right. When she discovered the Right was destroying mutants, she tried to stop them, was imprisoned in one of her own cyborgs, and went mad. She saved Orphan-Maker from Sinister and has since been abducting mutant children to keep them safe and under control. She captures them, regresses them physically and mentally to childhood, and then places them inside large mechanical exo-suits with heavy weaponry. It was she who faked Storm's death and had succeeded in regressing her before the young X-Man escaped into Middle America (only to meet Gambit and be pursued by the Shadow King). Nanny used to have an egg-shaped suit, but recently that suit was seen discarded. Her current appearance is unknown. Her most faithful "son" was a boy named Peter, code-named Orphan-Maker, who wears a powerful exo-skeleton.
