Codename Etymology: Pronounced năn'ē [Baby talk
origin]; One who is employeed to care for a child.
Powers: Nanny is a robotic French maid from hell with highly advanced weaponry
and a penchant for babying mutants. She was created by Magneto,
and years ago tended to the captured X-Men for a time,
until Storm picked the lock on her restraints and the
X-Men escaped, reprogramming Nanny in the process. Recently she resurfaced, as
her creator used her to ensnare the X-Men who had just returned from the Shi'ar
Galaxy, among whom was Gambit, the organizer of the
Marauders. Magneto was attempting to put Gambit
on trial, and was using Nanny to soften the X-Men up. Nanny also seems to control
a number of bionically enhanced animals, which act as her "muscle."
