Codename Etymology: Pronounced lōō'pə [From Latin lupus "wolf"]; Of wolves: the name has been given a masculine ending.
Powers & History: Originally human, Lupo was mutated by Magneto into a bestial man with wolf-ears and the ability to speak to animals and control them. Like his fellow mutates, he returned to human after Magneto was defeated by the X-Men. Years later, Lupo was re-mutated and served as Beastmaster to Zaladane, a servant of the High Evolutionary. This time, he became a true wolf-man, with canine-level senses, enhanced strength and speed, claws and fangs. His physical form is also wolf-like, with a wolf's face and legs, though his arms and torso are more humanlike in appearance. He is covered with fur, sometimes black, sometimes gray.
