Codename Etymology: Pronounced lōō'pə [From Latin lupus "wolf"]; Of wolves: the name has been given a feminine ending.
Powers & History: Lupa is akin to a werewolf, in that she has pointed ears, fangs and claws, and furry arms. However, the fur/hair does not cover her entire body, as it does Lupo's. She also wields control over the animal kingdom, especially (or possibly limited to) higher-order mammals, and keeps a pack of Dire Wolves around her for attack and defense. When the X-Treme X-Men were in the Savage Land, she attempted to subtly manipulate Beast, turning him into her paramour and directing his actions. To all outside appearances, Beast was completely under her thrall. However, when the Mutates' leader Brainchild revealed his scheme and attacked the X-Men outright, Beast knocked Lupa out, and then scared off the Dire Wolves. What became of Lupa is unknown.
