Synopsis & Review by Namor_1111a:
Synopsis: Spider-Man battles Doc Ock as Captain Stacy pushes a child out of the way of falling rubble. Captain Stacy is successful in saving the child, however by pushing the child out of the way means he's taken his place under the rubble. Spider-Man sees the travesty and swoops down to help Captain Stacy. Stacy is badly injured Spider-Man get's him to the top of a roof. Stacy reveals to Spider-Man he knowns he's Peter Parker and asks him to look after Gwen for him. Spider-Man makes that promise as Captain Stacy passes on to the other side.

We then cut to the Parker's living room. Captain Stacy, Gwen Stacy-Parker, Aunt May, and Uncle Ben stand around reading Peter's diary. They argue over the content inside. Captain Stacy thinks it's the sickest crap he's ever read. A Mutant patrol force trys to clear out a bunch of human squatters however they're quickly attacked by Spider-Man. Spider-Man is able to chase them away. The human squatters then turn on Spider-Man, he's baffled over their reaction. He then contacts Uncle Ben, the two of them have an over due conversation. Ben meets Peter on a bridge they go over the great power parable and discuss everything that's happened. They come up with a plan. Ben Parker then takes a picture of Spider-Man hanging himself.

Everyone Parker knows has different reactions to the news, some good, some not so good. On the island of Genosha, Magneto stands in one of his castle's many corridors. There's a web between one of the arches with a newspaper with the Spider-Man suicide story attached to it. A note is attached the newspaper itself. It reads "If you want me to stay dead, ease up on the humans." Magneto crumples the note. Peter revealed to be alive is seen having a wonderful time with his family in the middle of nowhere fishing. The End!

Review: Well I must say it was a fine end to a so-so series. It was the best issue overall. Mark and Tom's story was pretty good, and Salvador's art was better then it had been previously in this series. However with all that being said it still didn't fit in with the main "House Of M" storyline itself. So as long as you don't rack your head trying to fit this in it's a decent read. Nonetheless personally I'm glad House of M is finally over. None of the spin off series were able to fully fit in with the main storyline, also the main storyline itself was pretty much a let down. However I kept asking myself something, if Peter is prone to split personality disorder, why would his family feel safe just because they are in hiding? The Green Goblin for one reason or another could still return to reek havok on them. Wouldn't it be better if Peter was secluded somewhere away from everyone he loves. Because isn't he really just a liability now? Anyways it's finally over and now everything can return back to normal, well kind of. Also let's not forget about the upcoming Decimation, just when you think it's over...
