The floating island go to Nevernevernarniozbia and lands... Right on the wicked Scarlet-Witch of the Southeast. Little Thing munchkins jump in joy as Dr. Strange, the Good Witch guides the Daydreamers on their journey in search of Howard. A brief battle endures and the Daydreamers lost and are captured.
Howard has gotten a car, wishes for the annoying genie to shut-up, and just before he gets his third wish, is netted by Black Knights. He is taken to the Palace of the King, Doctor Doom. The Dark Hunter arrives at the Palace, as Leech uses his powers to nullify their containment bubble. They free Howard, and flee. They stop, when the Dark Hunter points his sword directly at Franklin. Man-Thing then says his first words in years. "Oh, man! We're really in for it now!"
#2 - The Dark Hunter has come for Franklin Richards, while Man-Thing actually speaks. When the Daydreamers defend Franklin from the Hunter, the Hunter surrounds them in shadows which cause their most deep-set anxieties. Leech tries to siphon his powers, but fails. Then Artie tries to his telepathic powers to fight the Dark Hunter. Hunter comments about such power coming from such a young one. But not strong enough. Artie falls back, as Strange comes to the rescue. He POOFS away the Dark Hunter and teleports the group to Dr. Suess Land. They go to get something to eat in a restaurant. When they talk to the waiter in the misuse of iambic pentameter, they get arrested. While in jail, Tana Nile and Howard start to chat about Tana's quest. They get very close, and begin to comfort each other. During the night, Artie receives dreams, caused by an unknowing Franklin. Leech accuses Franklin about knowing something behind all this mess. Then the Dark Hunter comes back and they battle. The Daydreamers flee the jail and drive away. Hunter grabs up Artie and disappears. Man-Thing again opens another portal, and they arrive in... Howard's home world, Duckworld, where Howard is now very famous.
#3 - The story opens with Artie in the dark. He is afraid, very afraid. Meanwhile, the others are on Duckworld, and every duck comes up to Howard, for he is now very popular. Tana grabs Man-Thing and swings him in the way of the oncoming ducks. The Daydreamers run into a bookstore, where Howard is amazed about all the books and magazines devoted to Howard. Howard gets upset, and Man-Thing starts to melt. Elsewhere, the Dark Hunter is convincing Artie to join his cause. Artie knows the Hunter's intentions and will help him. The Daydreamers go to Howard's parents' house, and again gets upset. His father reveals why Howard is so famous. By using the device to come to Earth, Duckworld has been able to see Howard's adventures on television. Man-Thing is still melting and wants Franklin to confess the truth. When Leech questions Franklin, Franklin gets very upset. His powers cause him to go blank, and the Ducks come to the rescue. Howard blows up at his parents and says that they are not his parents. They are just illusions. Howard then wishes for a cab to pull up and take them to Duckworld's, Dr. Richards. Tana and Howard kiss on the way to the Richards Institute. Howard pulls away, because of his relationship with Beverly. When they arrive, Franklin runs to his parents, but Tana calls them illusions. Franklin blows up again and he and his parents leave. Then the Dark Hunter shows up, along with Artie, Leech, Tana and Man-Thing. They rescue Howard from sudden darkness. The Hunter reveals that all this has been an illusion caused by Franklin and that the Hunter himself is Franklin's pain. With the help of Artie and the others, the Hunter or Franklin's pain is absorbed into Franklin. He then becomes very sad, and misses his parents as his friends then comfort him.
