Powers & History: Legion was a telepath, telekinetic and pyrokinetic. For many years he was somewhat autistic, and his powers were split up among three personalities that he had absorbed after an terroist attack on himself and his adoptive father. American Jack Wayne controlled the TK, the Arab Jamail Karami was the telepath, and Cyndi was the pyrotic. When his mind was finally integrated, however, Legion also had time-travel and reality-warping abilities. David served as the host for the Shadow King when he took over Muir Island. During this time, he allowed Sunder to be klled by the Reavers and killed Destiny himself. he twisted the minds of everyone one the island and made them participate in bloody "ultimate fighting" matches. When the rest of the X-Men and X-Factor defeated the Shadow King, David appeared to have been mind-wiped. Months later, however, he began to see visions of Destiny teling him that he had to wake up and complete his father's work. When he awoke, his mind fully integrated at last, Legion tried to kill Magneto in the past, so that his father would have no opposition to his dream of harmony. Unfortunately, Xavier jumped into Legion's attack and died, precipitating the "Age of Apocalypse" timeline. When Bishop, the sole survivor of our timeline, was sent into the past by the AOA X-Men, he confronted Legion and using David's own power, caused a telepathic feedback loop that showed Legion the error of his ways, and then consumed him. After his death, the personalities Legion had absorbed ran rampant in Israel until Sabra and Excalibur convinced them to let go of this world. Legion's true limits were never gauged. Somehow, however, the sorceress Margali managed to keep Legion's soul from departing this world completely, and now uses it (along with Destiny's soul) to aid her as a new team of Defenders.
