Codename Etymology: Pronounced lēsh [From Old French, laisse: "to let go"]; A rope attached to a collar used to harness an animal.
Powers & History: Leash exerts a telepathic possessive influence on other beings. Her power manifests itself as a blue energy collar around her victims, who can be anything from mutants to dinosaurs. When the X-Treme X-Men were in the Savage Land, she had trouble controlling Rogue, due to the conflicted nature of the mutant's psyche, but had no problem possessing Thunderbird III. However, the telepath Sage was more than a match for Leash, and reflected the mutate's powers back at her, in the process releasing all the others she had been controlling. What happened to Leash after the X-Men left is unknown.
