Real Name: Jubilation LeeShe hid out in their Australian base for a while, but was never discovered. When the surviving X-Men went into the Siege Perilous, Jubilee was left alone until Wolverine returned and was captured and crucified by the Reavers. During the night, Jubilee was contemplating helping Logan when he ripped himself off of the crossed beams. Wolverine saw Jubilee, and then collapsed onto her from loss of blood. She helped him through the compound's tunnels, and managed to severely damage one of Pierce's bionic dogs. Logan finished off the rest, but collapsed, and Jubes was able to get them to Gateway, who teleported them to Madripoor.
In Madripoor, Jubilee and Logan prepared to recouperate, but were soon attacked by Lady Mandarin, who turned out to be a brainwashed Psylocke in a new Asian ninja's body. The Mandarin, who had purchased Psylocke's services from The Hand, had Jubilee dressed in traditional Chinese clothing and planned to re-educate her to serve him as part of his army of mutants. Fortunately, when Psylocke used her psychic abilities on Wolverine, his psychosis (the result of the trauma of crucifixion and dehydration) knocked her out of her brainwashing, and the three mutants defeated the Mandarin and escaped. Eventually, the trio found out that the X-Men had been captured and taken to Genosha for trial. They followed to the island, but Logan and Betsy were captured. Jubilee met up with Rictor and Boom Boom, who had escaped, and helped them avoid the Magistrates.
After the X-Men defeated the Genoshans and returned home, Jubilee became an unofficial member of the X-Men. She was usually not assigned to missions, but came along either because she was captured or because everyone else was going too. She remained a member of the team until the Phalanx took over the Mansion and captured some neo-mutants in order to research ways to assimilate mutants. The Phalanx imprisoned Jubilee in the Danger Room, but she was freed by Sabretooth on Banshee orders. Jubes then joind the two of them and Emma Frost in locating Everett Thomas, and then in helping to free the other new mutants from the Phalanx. After that incident, Jubilee transferred to the Massachussetts Academy, which had become the new School for Gifted Youngsters, and joined Generation X. She immediately found herself at odds with M, and annoyed almost all her fellow students with numerous "When I was with the X-Men..." opinions.
Jubilee was closest to Synch, but he didn't seem to reciprocate her deeper feelings, and eventually started a brief romance, just before he was killed. Recently, Jubilee discovered that her parents' murders were ordered by Hunter Brawn, a wealthy financier whose grandson Tristan was a student at the Academy. She went on a solo rampage to accumulate evidence and take Brawn down. Luckily, the rest of her temamates caught up with her before she faced Brawn, but Banshee let her lead the mission. She ended up facing down Brawn, but didn't kill him, as Sunch and Husk thought she might. During the fight, Jubes had the others protect the only witness from Brawn's men, and with the testimony the witness gave, Brawn was arrested and sent to jail.
Following the dissolution of the Massachussetts Academy, Jubilee went to Los Angeles with classmate Skin, and pursued her dream of becoming an actress. Unfortunately, she was cast in sleazy sterotypical roles by her manager. When she tried to refuse a role as a prostitute, the manager began to sexually harass her, and she nearly blew him up in a rage. Jubilee was then contacted by Banshee, and was recruited into his X-Corps along with Husk and M. When the X-Corps fell apart due to Mystique's betrayal, Jubilee was among those who fought the Blob and saved Banshee's life.
Months later, Jubilee was found crucified on the grounds of the Xavier Institute with a number of other mutants. How she was captured is still unknown, but it seems likely that it was the Church of Humanity that perpetrated this crime. Though she was technically dead when the X-Men brought her to the infirmary, a transfusion of Archangel's blood with its new healing factor revived her. She remained with the X-Men in a semi-official capacity until after Magneto IV's attack on the school.
Recently Jubilee left the hectic lives of the X-Men to pursue a normal life of a high school student. She went back to L.A. to live with her elderly but very wealthy aunt named Hope, who had just returned from China. Apparently Lee had family who never even knew she existed. Jubilee described her aunt’s appearance as fortuitous but a bit late. She remained with her for several weeks, first being forced into volunteering as a peer counselor, and then getting out of it when she found the principal kissing a teacher. She also gained a new best friend in a blonde ditz named Meg Devereux who slowly (with Jubes's help) became a better person and gained a near-boyfriend in the form of the mutant gang leader Shane Shooter, someone who almost matched her in every aspect and had traits from her last two crushes (Skin and Synch). Soon afterwards, Jubilee discovered her aunt was actually a former assassin for a Triad Crimelord she was trying to kill to regain her normal life. After a pitched gun battle Hope seemingly commited suicide to protect her niece and her friends Wolverine, Shane and her butler Brad. Jubilee returned to the X-Mansion, but it doesn’t appear as though she has been placed on a field team.
| Jubilee wass a student at the New Mutant Learning Institute, and close friends with Sooraya Qadir (Dust). Together with Dust, she helped fend off a terrorist attack at the Institute, and then overheard Surge II and Prodigy planning to confront Noriko's terrorist father in Japan, and demanded to tag along. When the Hellions arrived and a battle erupted, undercover S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Laurie Garrison used her powers to turn Sooraya against Jubilee for making her "immoral" and "Western." After Garrison was killed, Sooraya apologized, and then the girls joined in the final charge against Sunfire's agents and Sentinels. |
After M-Day, Jubilee was depowered. She turned to political activism, working to protect mutant rights from bigoted Senators and other members of the government. Later, she was captured by Omega Red as bait for Wolverine, and then seriously injured when the building she was in collapsed. Wolverine was forced to leave her to SHIELD's rescue team.
After being released by SHIELD, Jubilee was approached by Night Thrasher, possibly the surviving New Warrior, and offered a spot on his revamped New Warriors team. Thrasher gave Jubilee a suit with enhanced strength and a supply of Pym Particles, which she used to shrink villains to more manageable sizes. Given her field experience she (codenamed Wondra) became the field leader of the new team.
