Full Name: Brent JacksonShortly afterwards, Jackson came over to Weapon X full time. His abrasive personality grated on all of his colleagues, which was why the Director trusted him to an extent. However, the Director did implant a chip in Jackson's head preventing the agent from attacking the Director. Jackson then appeared to be the Director's right-hand man during the remainder of Weapon X's recruiting phase. He went on one mission of his own, to recruit another former Contingency member named Rapture, who refused his offer and teleported away. Jackson kept pestering his teammates, playing upon their weaknesses and generally making a pest of himself, but it was not simply for laughs. Jackson had his own agenda, which led him and all the other Weapon X agents (except Kane and Agent Zero) to contact Cable and join his Underground movement, which was directed specifically against Weapon X. He also goaded the Director into beating Aurora by calling the mutant hater a "mutie-lover."
Finally, when the Underground assaulted Weapon X, Jackson disabled the security measures to let them in, but after the Director fled, Jackson activated a hidden telepathic jammer that knocked Cable and his team out, along with the other Weapon X agents. Jackson fabricated a story about being stunned himself, and was grilled extensively by the shadow group supporting Weapon X. It seems he was convincing enough for them, as they named him the new Director of the Weapon X Program.
