Codename Etymology: Pronounced 'är-mr [From Old French armeure, from Latin armatura "arms, equipment," from arma "arms, gear"]; A defensive covering worn in combat.
Powers & History: Hisako is a Japanese student possessing the ability to create a psionic shield that is nearly invulnerable. She's a taciturn girl who shows little emotion - she longs to be an X-Man and has demonstrated fierce courage, loyalty and skill under pressure. Hisako once tried to explain her powers as a manifestation of the spirits of her family. This lineage apparently transfers strength to her in the form of her armor, however its exact nature, limits and possabilities remain to be seen. Wolverine once pierced her armor with his claws though his body could not pass through. This may have been due to the eyesocket frequently drawn on her armor or it could be an organic/inorganic limitation.

Hisako and her friend Wing were attacked by the alien invader Ord and Hisako gave Wing time to escape by attacking Ord furiously. They survived but Wing found himself to have been injected with the cure for the mutant gene created by Kavita Rao. He later was coaxed into comitting suicide by Danger and Hisako confessed that he had been her best friend. She was shaken and upset by his death.

After M-Day Hisako competed for a place on the New X-Men Squad under Emma Frost with the remaining students of the school. She clearly suspected that Emma Frost would choose only her Hellions and was annoyed when 4 of the 7 places went to Hellions.

Recently, Hisako defended Blindfold and Wolverine (regressed to his childhood mentality by Cassandra Nova) from Beast (driven feral, his humanity supressed, again by Cassandra Nova) in the bathrooms. At this time she lost her temper and her blue bubble armor became a samurai-like crimson giant that terrified Beast and forced him to flee. Hisako was left drained and confused by this demonstration of power.
