For example, during the attack of the Uncreated, Corsair had to lock out Hepzibah's weapons access to prevent her from opening fire on the Shi'ar, with whom the Starjammers need to keep diplomatic ties.
Later, when Vulcan and Deathbird revived D'Ken, Hepzibah was at her love's side as they aided Lilandra's forces in attacking the "new" Emperor. Then Hepzibah watched in horror as Vulcan, Corsair's long-missing third son, married Deathbird, killed D'Ken and then killed Corsair when he tried to defend Lilandra. Nightcrawler teleported some of the remaining X-Men who had come to Shi'ar space and Hepzibah to the X-Men's ship, and Lilandra locked out the teleporter and sent them home with Professor X, who had nearly been killed by Vulcan. Hepzibah could not leave the ship and so returned to Earth with the X-Men.
