Codename Etymology: Pronounced hĕm'ĭng-wā' [None]; Possible reference to writer Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) - connection unknown.
Powers & History: Hemingway is very large and very strong. He has a skull-like face and spikes down his back. Hemingway seems to be constantly growing larger, and that may be part of his mutant power. Interestingly, in early appearances Hemingway's left arm ended in a spiraling sharp point, but later he was seen with two fully formed hands. This may be a result of Dark Beast's genetic manipulations (or is could just be another editorial mess-up).
