Codename Etymology: Pronounced grĭz'lē [From Old French grisel, dim. of gris "grey"]. Grey. Also the species common name of a North American bear, Ursus Horribilis, from "grisly" (Old English grislic "horrible").
Powers & History: Grizzly was very large, very strong, hard to hurt, and had orange-red skin. One can assume that if he was a mutant, those attributes comprised his mutancy, since he never displayed any other abilities. Griz was driven insane by Genesis, and went on a killing spree in Canada until his friend Domino was forced to hunt him down and kill him. It appears that this was the second time Grizzly had gone on a killing spree.
