Powers & History: Tyler could project thoughts as images, like moving holograms.
While fighting with the Clan Chosen against the New Canaanites, Tyler was captured
by Stryfe, and his mind was altered to serve his new
master. When Clan Chosen attacked Stryfe, the villain had Tyler place a neural-link
on Dawnsilk. To save his clansman, Cable had to shoot Tyler, further messing up
his mind. Tyler never forgave his father, even though his mind was eventually
nearly completely repaired. As the arms dealer Tolliver, he hired the Six Pack
for a few jobs, and particularly the one on which Cable first encountered Stryfe
in our era. Later, he captured Domino and had Copycat
replace her and join X-Force, with the intention of
killing them all in a bombing. Following the apparent death of Apocalypse,
Tyler re-formed the Dark Riders and used them
to locate the citadel of their former master. Taking the name Genesis, Tyler tried
to attain the power of Apocalypse. First, he captured Cyber
and used Death Watch Beetles to kill him, leaving only his adamantium skin. Then,
Tyler captured Wolverine and attempted to re-bon the adamantium to his bones.
However, Cannonball had followed Wolverine and rushed
in to save him, but instead was severely beaten. While Sam was being pummeled,
Tyler had hooked up one of Apocalypse's sarcophagi to thousands of captured people,
with the intention of draining all their life energies into it, either to power
himself or resurrect the High Lord. Unfortunately, Wolverine, seeing his teammate's
suffering, forcibly activated his mutation to physically expel the adamantium
from his body and break free. Feral and nearly mindless, he killed Tyler before
the power transfer could be completed.
