Charles' Xavier's School for the Gifted, for mutants, is located at 1407 Greymalkin Lane, Salem Center, Westchester, New York. The school is a multi-level facility, with several out-buildings as well as the main mansion building. The top two floors are dominated by dormitories for the students and single rooms for the adults. The ground level and first floor include classrooms for the students to be taught in. The ground level also includes a kitchen area, a lounge which include a large screen TV, table football table and books. Also on the ground level is Professor Xavier's office which doubles as his classroom. The basement level includes a state of the art medical facility, with a high-tech imaging scanner.

The basement also incorporates the locker room area where the X-Men costumes are kept and the Danger Room. Also located in the basement is the Cerebro mutant locator.

Finally the basement holds the hanger for the X-jet which takes off vertically through the basketball court.

The school also houses a large garage facility where several cars are kept including Cyclops' motorcycle and his Mazda RX-5. The garage is where Cyclops teaches auto-repair. The school also has a stables area.

The school also includes the aforementioned basketball court and a large garden area.

Built in to the school itself is an escape tunnel which allows the students to escape should the facility come under attack. The school was damaged somewhat by the attack by Stryker's commandos and some remodelling may be needed.
