Hi there! My name is Alison Blaire, but you probably know me better as that star singer, the Dazzler! No, I won't autograph your album now, thank you. See me after class for that. Now for why we're all here: "Mutants on Film" is about the way that Hollywood portrays mutants. For the most part, it's not bad, contrary to public sentiments. I mean, who hasn't seen either of the extremely popular animated series? Not to mention the awesome movie! There were those nasty ads by Senator Kelly last year, though, which we will also see. Well, in this course, we are going to study synopses and reviews of the different films the X-Men have been in, both on the big and silver screens, as well as watch some of the films themselves! And believe me, I know all about that sort of thing. After all, I was the first X-Man to ever star in a movie (never mind that it ruined my singing career)! What? Don't tell me you haven't seen it yet! Oh, well I guess some people just don't have good taste. Regardless of how familiar you are with the X-Men TV shows & movie, sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy this fascinating lecture class. And remember--silence is golden.
