Powers: Magical shamanistic abilities
Background: Hungan is the shaman of an African tribe from Kenya. Years ago, the tribe was suffering from a severe draught, and Ororo (who would become Storm) provided them with rain, winning the tribe's allegiance. Hungan was enraged that his power base was taken from him, and even after Ororo left for the United States, he secretly plotted to hunt her down and make her powers his own.

Hungan eventually located Storm, and used his magic to give her nightmares, evil visions, and even to disrupt a Danger Room session she was in, trapping her in a small box. When she ran from the Mansion, he trapped her in a small room on a ship. By taking advantage of Storm's claustrophobia, Hungan was able to use his magical powers to withdraw her elemental abilites into his mystical staff. The X-Men were able to defeat him when Spyke smashed the crystal on the staff, and Storm's abilites were returned to her. Storm created a funnel cloud to throw Hungan far out to sea, and in the mist, her entire tribe, which had been at the scene as well, managed to quickly disappear, presumably returning to Africa. What became of Hungan is unknown.
