Codename Etymology: Pronounced fē'vər pĭch [From Latin, febris + Old English, pīcian: "to prick"]; Extreme excitement, the apex of a crescendo.
Powers & History: Fever Pitch generates flame blasts on such a high level that it burned his entire body, leaving him looking like a flaming skeleton, very similar to Nemesis. He also has the ability to fly. In his first appearance, he captured Skin and Chamber and fought with Gene Nation, so it is assumed that he is a second-generation Morlock.
Months later, Fever Pitch was in Europe and got into a fight with the Genoshan
mutant Abyss. Their brawl was detected by Banshee's
X-Corps, and the two mutants were subdued and restrained. After a series of
tests at the X-Corps HQ, Fever Pitch was released as a field agent, presumably
with the mental blocks provided by Mastermind II
in place. However, when Mystique freed Mastermind
II, all of Fever Pitch's inhibitions vanished and he went on a fiery rampage
through Paris, destroying buildings and monuments at will. He was soon found
by the X-Men and encased in ice, courtesy of Iceman,
and is presumably now in official custody.
