Welcome to Tangent of X, Mutatis Mutandis' home for some of the best fan fiction on the web! Beginning in February 2000, several fan writers took the proverbial helms of the X-Titles with the plans to produce monthly fan-developed and published stories, while keeping in continuity with past X-Continuity. The stories, for the most part, begin after the Ages of Apocalypse storyline. Rosters and directions have changed but hopefully you will enjoy these tales as much as the writers did in producing them. Enjoy!
ToX is looking for more writers to do fill-ins and pick up some series! Email CharleyX for more info. SPECIAL! Phoenix LS wraps up with #3! Fallen Gods LS debuts!
Headlines: First off, ToX would like to congratulate Jay Holliday (of Excalibur fame) on the birth of a child. Jay also has a new series in the works, called Dreamers, which will feature many of the characters recently introduced in Excalibur.
Next, I am pleased to report that Aaron McKendry (former X-Force scribe) has recovered from his serious medical condition. Aaron sends his best to Raine Baker, the current X-Force scribe, and hopes to soon begin work once more on his proposed project, the New Age Outlaws.
Now, onto the meat of this update:
Conjunction:
The seven elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Life, Light, and Magick. The seven directions: North, South, East, West, above, below, within. They all unite, in the Conjunction.
Since the very inception of ToX several of the titles have been leading up to this August. Something, mystical, something enchanting, something, evil! Conjunction will be the first ToX crossover, reaching through five titles and leaving a lasting mark on the ToX universe. Follow the Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, Rogue, Gambit, and X-Force annuals through a tale of birth, rebirth, tragedy, and loss. This storyline will set the stage that will create a new status quo for the ToX universe. Old friends will be reunited, new alliances will be formed, while others are lost like the sands of time.To get some hints as to what conjunction is all about, check out some of these lead-in issues:
X-Men #100-104
Well, that's all for now, sorry about the short short update, but I really have to get back to working on UX #384, expect to see it on the web soon. It is a direct continuation of X-Men 103, and continues the Shadowstorms storyline to be completed in X-Men #104 also due out soon. Look for new issues of Bishop and Cable out soon as well!
Catch ya on the flip side,
Dwain
