Title Page "Days of Future Tense" Note: While this reality is very similar to the classic "Days of Future Past" reality (Earth 811), it is in fact a separate reality in the multiverse (Earth 2992)
Summary by CharleyX: Underneath the ruins of Braddock Manor lie the remains of the sentient supercomputer Mastermind. Deep inside, a broken and bitter Wolfsbane watches the atrocities perpetrated daily by Black Air. She is joined by Psylocke, and then by Tangerine, who taunts Psylocke about her "burning wings" dream. Tangerine brings them to Excalibur's leader, picking up Captain Britain and Meggan (now married) along the way. The enter the briefing room to meet Pete Wisdom, confined to a wheelchaior courtesy of Black Air, and Karma, his aide. Pete says they've found Douglock at the top of Black Air's headquarters, the Blackwall, and Excalibur's mission is to retrieve him. Karma uses a new aspect of her power to "ride" in Brian's head, a sensation he finds nauseating. The Midnight Runner flies to the Blackwall, disgorging Cap and Meggan, who rip open an entryway on the roof. The other three women jump down on the Runner's next pass, and Excalibur enters the facility. They don't get far before Rahne smells something wrong, which turns out to be Transmode warliquids in Brood form. Excalibur fights off the fake Brood, but Tangerine is having trouble with the neural lock on the room from which Douglock's signal emanates. Psylocke kills the disembodied brain lock with her psychic knife, and Excalibur enters the room to see Douglock, or rather what's left of him. His head is still intact, but his body has been drawn out into thin filaments that permeate the entire facility. Douglock is the heart of Black Air, the operating system they used to take control of Britain. His old teammates have been fighting him all along, and the Black Air soldiers who have now trapped Excalibur in this room prepare to fire... And Brian Braddock wakes up. The entire scenario was something he witnessed while lost in the timestream, which his subconscious only now let him remember. He cannot return to sleep, and the future looks ever darker...
