Review by CharleyX:
2013: Kate Pryde is strapped to a machine, her powers inhibited by a dampening collar as a list of charges against her is read, including destroying the Cyberobotics facility and aiding the escape of Rachel Summers. Nearby, Dr. Quinn tells a crippled Ahab he understands his animosity and will do everything he can to recapture her, but wishes he had more information about Rachel's abilities. Ahab doesn't know about anything beyong telekinesis and telepathy, but Quinn mentions a possible ability to project her mind through time. He shows Ahab the Cyberobotics security video of Kate and Rachel's break-in, noting the distortion apparently emanating from Rachel, and her subsequent disappearance. They have tried mind-scanning Kate, who has terminal radiation poisoning from the bomb she detonated, but her shields are too strong, so they are trying to use the residal temporal particles in her to open a gateway to Rachel.

The procedure begins, and though the pain is unbearable, Kate notices when her inhibitor fails and phases through the machine, disrupting the time warp. Suddenly her mind is thrown into chaos, until finally, order is restored.

2015: The same lab, now abandoned and in shambles. Widget hovers in the same position Kate was in two years earlier, and requesting confirmation from an absent party. Nearby, Sentinels scan Widget under Quinn's direction. Quinn notes that the lab was a temporal hot spot for the last two years, up until the mysterious entity appeared. Suddenly Ahab (now with prostheses, harpoon and hounds teleports in and usurps jurisdiction as the Guardian of Time and citing his experience tracking Rachel to another timeline. He orders a Sentinel to bring Widget to his base, but as the robot grabs it, Widget wakes up and screams about not betraying Rachel. Before the Sentinel can react, Widget disappears in a temporal warp, taking the Sentinel's arm with it.

The Present: Excalibur returns to Braddock Manor after their capture by the R.C.X. Rachel is a little depressed, as so much has changed since she was taken into space by the Phoenix Force, reborn after her battle with Necrom. Kitty sympathizes as they look at new costumes and the new couple, Nightcrawler and Cerise. Nearby, Meggan confesses that she can see the aura Brian's powers give him, and when he temporarily lost them, she realized that was part of what attracted her to him. Brian says they are more than their powers, but Meggan shifts to her original goblin-like form and asks if he would still love her if she looked like this. Rachel and Kitty notice, but are sure the lovebirds will work it out. Feron pops out of the manor and chews Kitty out for leaving him alone with the spooky Widget popping in and out, the turns to Phoenix, but is startled to find the P-Force is not with her. Rachel states her intention to use what power she has to get back to her future. Kitty objects and wants to come with her, but Rachel confesses she doesn't have enough juice for that.

2015: The Master Mold declines Ahab's request for a pre-emptive strike against Rachel and her allies. However, with the Nimrod unit entering production in six weeks, and orbital monitors set to trace any temporal incursions, it is confident that in short order the Sentinels with exterminate mutantkind - in all timelines.

The Present: Rachel confronts Excalibur with her intention to save her world, and says goodbye - in case she doesn't return. She begins to shift to the future and then screams in agony!

2015: Widget hovers motionless, repeating "Rachel must be free" over and over. A group of British rebel heroes observes, wondering what this phenomenon is. Dark Angel notes it has a biogenic aura, meaning it's alive. Tangerine, a telepath, senses a mind inside, then another probing from elsewhere. Suddenly Widget flashes, and is then animated. Tangerine senses a human soul inside Widget, but can't make sense of the confused thoughts it has. As if on cue, Ahab teleports in with hounds and Sentinels, but the robots are small models and are relatively easy fodder for Killpower, Arthur and Grace. However, the "R.C.X." is not the real target, as Ahab sends trackers after Widget. Tangerine finally contacts Widget's mind and finds - Kate Pryde, who's totally focused on protecting Rachel. Widget/Kate prepares to teleport, but Ahab impales R.C.X.'er Albion, knocks Tangerine out and orders a Sentinel to secure Widget. Widget screams, and the Sentinel realizes that its target exists in multiple dimensions and is not secure.

The Present: A timequake shakes the manor, but it's not Rachel's fault. She had been probing mentally and hadn't begun to shift her physical body yet. Suddenly Rachel realizes she had sensed Kate inside something alien and cold, but her probe woke Kate up. Widget appears, with Kate identifying herself. When the Sentinel tries to anchor Widget, however, it creates a bridge between the timelines.

2013: Ahab sees Rachel through the warp and readies his harpoon, but Tangerine wakes up and mindlocks him. However, a Sentinel disgorges trackers to deal with the telepath. Fortunately, the dimensional portal stabilizes, allowing Kitty to cross over and phase Tangerine. This takes her right into the path of Ahab's harpoon, but Phoenix joins the fray and melts Ahab's metallic hands. The Sentinels goes into alarmed shock and retreats by teleporting, but not before its trackers grab Widget and Phoenix. With Widget gone, the dimensional portal crashes to a close

As the smoke clears, Kitty asks the R.C.X. if they can help find Rachel and Widget, but Tangerine says they were taken to Sentinel HQ. The R.C.X. try to convince Excalibur that it's hopeless, but having no other way of getting home, the mutants resolve to rescue their friends... or die trying.
