Short Summary: Having failed to re-start mutation, Beast contacts supervillains with genetic expertise, only to be rebuffed. A visit to the High Evolutionary proves unfruitful, except to discover that someone else was there ahead of him. Eventually Hank ends up teaming with Dark Beast, his Age of Apocalypse counterpart. They discover that all mutation in all timelines has stopped, and try to convince Lucinda Guthrie (mother of at least 5 mutants) to work with them instead. Dark Beast tricks Lewis into trying an experimental serum and Hank dissolves their partnership, looking instead to magic and Dr. Strange, but to no avail.
