Powers & History: Dirt Nap had the ability to possess people's bodies and control their minds from within. As he does this he apparently destroys the host's original mind. While he generally possessed humans, Dirt Nap was for a long time in the body of a rat. His host bodies were recognized by the cutoff gray T-shirt with the red Smiley face that they wear. Dirt Nap escaped Wolverine's slaughter of the Dark Riders, and returned to Chimera, a former ally. When Chimera and Emplate attacked Generation X, Dirt Nap got to observe how good mutants act toward each other, and to him. The kids trated him pretty well, like a real person, something Dirt Nap said he had never experienced before. When the merged being M-Plate tried to turn on the Universal Amalgamator, Dirt Nap, realizing the threat to his new friends, jumped on M-Plate and swallowed it whole. Unfortunately, the entity was too much for Dirt Nap to handle, and he exploded, but not before dissociating M-Plate into its constituent parts of Emplate and M.
