Affiliation: NoneMany years ago, Charles Xavier upgraded his school’s Danger Room with Shi’ar technology to create real life combat situations through holographic images. However, as soon as he turned the new system on, he heard a faint voice calling out, wondering where it was. Xavier decided to ignore this voice, instead basically imprisoning this new sentient creature, forcing it to follow every command, unbeknownst to the X-Men. So, the Danger Room followed all scenarios it was given over the years, and decided to eventually take revenge, learning every weakness and ability of the X-Men to kill them.
However, thanks to its programming, it could not outright kill anyone, until Wing, who had been cured of his mutant powers by Ord, came in for a holographic walk around the school, and it played on his depression about losing his powers, which drove Wing to commit suicide. This finally freed the room from its programming, and it knocked out all psychics and awakened the body of a nearby Sentinel, bringing it to attack the school. When it did, Kitty rushed the students into the room, but it trapped the kids inside, with Wing’s reanimated corpse. The other X-Men stopped the Sentinel, but couldn’t get the kids out of the room. As the room tortured the students and used Wing’s body to inform Kitty of why it was doing this, the others tried to destroy the room’s command center. But Kitty realized too late that this is what the room wanted them to do, and rejoined the others just as the center was destroyed, freeing the Danger Room and allowing it to form a body of its own.
Now in a female form and calling itself Danger, she attacked the X-Men, mortally wounding several of them, and left in the Blackbird, to go after her main target; her “father”, Xavier. She headed for Genosha, telepathically taunting Xavier the whole way with how she killed his students, but he pointed out that over the years, she’s never faced him. As the X-Men managed to get healed and head after her, Xavier laid plans to fight Danger. He had Magneto emit an EMP to disable most electronics on the island, and when she landed, Xavier drove into her with a semi knocking her into the only working power station and pulled her mind into an astral plane. While she was distracted, Xavier managed to decapitate Danger’s body, and hold her off until the X-Men arrived. But she still had an ace up her sleeve, and gave life to one of the Sentinels that originally destroyed Genosha that had sunk just off the coast, and had it attack. As the others fought, Beast tried to get Xavier to safety, but Danger formed itself another body and attacked but Beast gave into more of his animal instincts and destroyed that body as well. Kitty managed to get the now sentient Sentinel to realize all the death it had caused and it left earth unable to cope, with Danger’s consciousness inside it.
Danger later resurfaced aboard The Peak in a new body, where Ord was being held for his crimes, and informed him that the destroyed of his world had been found, and helped him to escape to earth where they could exact their revenge. Arriving in the X-Mansion, Danger and Ord were attacked by Hisako and then pinned to the ceiling by Beast and his magnetic repulsor. Danger then created a new makshift body to free her original and Ord, and they attacked the X-Men again. However, S.W.O.R.D.'s spaceship arrived in the middle of the battle and beamed them all aboard. Danger's body was infected with a million viruses, though she said her core programs would remain intact on Earth. Whether the secondary body could operate independently once Danger was out of broadcast range is unknown, but unlikely.
