In a sequel of sorts to The X-Tinction Agenda, Bloodties is the tale of the Genoshan civil war. With Magneto's recent electromagnetic pulse across the globe, the Genoshan magistrates are worried that the mutates will begin a revolution in his name. To stop it, the Genoshan government has sanctioned the massacre of all mutates. The mutates are beginning to fight back. In the midst of the war is Fabian Cortez, a man who betrayed Magneto yet still speaks in his name to fan the flames of war, and Luna Maximoff, the human granddaughter of Magneto.
