Powers & History: Berzerker absorbed electromagnetic energy in order to receive radio and TV signals or shut down mechanical devices, then rechannel the energy into protective shields or explosive force blasts. He could also release engery in concussive blasts in all directions. Berzerker first appeared as the leader of a sub-group of Morlocks called the Tunnelers who, while fleeing the Mutant Massacre, attacked Beast and Iceman, leading to an altercation with all of the original X-Factor. Cyclops eventually convinced him and his group to ally with X-Factor. At first Berzerker and his group didn't trust the other mutants but he decided to head to the X-Factor HQ. Later that night Berzerker changed his mind and decided to leave. As he got his group out the front door and into a park they were confronted by a local gang, who shot Blow-Hard and killed him. The cops and X-Factor got invovled, and Cyclops tried to blast a pile of boxes onto Berzerker to calm him down. Unfortunately, Berzerker saw this as an attack, and shoved Scaleface out of the way, but into the path of the police's bullets. When she died, Berzerker freaked out and released energy in random directions. Cyclops was forced to shoot him with his optic blast, pushing Berzerker into the water, which caused his electrical powers to short-circuit and he dissolved into the water.
